Pharrell's 'Happy' Was Originally Meant for Cee Lo Green

In a recent hour-long interview with Howard Stern, Pharrell William's revealed that his hit 'Happy' was originally written for Cee Lo Green. William's inherited the song only after Green passed on it.

The singer with a talent as big as his hat is no stranger to sharing songs. Williams contributed eight tracks to Justin Timberlake’s 2002 album 'Justified' that were actually meant for Michael Jackson. The collaboration never came to fruition so Timberlake took the reigns. Williams also writes and produces for Kanye West, Gwen Stefani, Gloria Estefan and more.

Considering what a massive hit 'Happy' became, we trust Williams' feelings concerning the tune match closely to its title.
