Like many musical artists who have passed on before her, Amy Winehouse’s earnings are reported to have skyrocketed—quadrupled to be exact—after her death in July 2011.

Documents obtained by the UK’s The Sun reveal that profits were around $1.8 million for 18 months up until April 2013, whereas the income for 12 months recorded until November 2011 (mostly time that Winehouse was alive) was $411,765.

The loyal fans that flocked to buy Winehouse’s music after her death aided in the push for distributing some of her previously unreleased material on an album entitled 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures.' The record even moved to number one in December 2011.
