Prince Sues Concert Bootleggers To The Tune of $22 Million

The purple one is heading out for a series of London shows starting Feb. 3, but not before handling legal business with 22 separate Facebook and Google Blogger users that illegally released live bootlegs of his shows. We’re guessing the offenders let out a guttural screech similar to the opening of The Artist Formerly Known as Prince’s “Gett Off” upon receiving those court papers.

Prince is requesting each defendant pay him $1 million in damages for ripping off his live material! In addition to the $22 million, he's also demanding the defendants forfeit any money they may have made from his music including interest.

Think he’s stopping there? Not a chance—Prince also wants the perpetrators to return any and all illegal materials back into his rightful custody, to cover his lawyer fees and to be permanently blocked from infringing on his copyrights again.
