Sam Smith's debut album is already breaking records. In it’s first week, In the Lonely Hour sold 166,000 copies, making it the best-selling week of any UK male artist in the 23-year history of Soundscan. It will hit #2 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, falling 16,000 copies behind Lana Del Ray’s new album Ultraviolence.

Smith’s success has been growing since the release of his single “Stay With Me”, which just passed one million copies sold. He'll be kicking off the US part of his tour on September 15 in Boston. For full tour details head over to samsmithworld.com.

And if you haven’t checked it out yet, here’s Smith’s incredible cover of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know”.

Congrats Sam!
