Chick-fil-A was forced to apologize to its customers after promoting National Sandwich Day, which falls on a Sunday.
According to the Daily Mail, the holiday is Sunday, November 3. Historically, Chick-fil-A has kept their restaurants closed on Sundays.
After sending out the initial email to its subscribers, the chicken company had to send ANOTHER one to apologize for the situation.
"We recently sent an email that included a message about National Sandwich Day, which naturally we were very excited about," it says. "We didn't realize it falls on a Sunday when we are closed. We apologize for the confusion and hope to see you soon (Monday-Saturday)."
A spokesperson told Business Insider that "the cows sometimes get over-eager on their quest for self-preservation. They have been reminded that Sundays are off limits."
