Add the World Cup cross-country ski races to the long list of events that have now been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event's organizers, the Loppet Foundation told the Star Tribune they expected as many as 20,000 fans to attend the events at Wirth Park.
"We are devastated to announce this cancellation," said John Munger, executive director of the Loppet Foundation.
Athletes from several countries were expected to compete.
