An 8 p.m. curfew will be in effect in Minneapolis on Thursday evening, continuing till 6 a.m. Friday morning.
The curfew was announced Thursday morning by Mayor Jacob Frey, which comes after rioting broke out downtown after misinformation suggested a Black man had been shot by police.
While the damage done was not at the same level seen during the riots that followerd George Floyd's death in May, there were still multiple properties damaged and looted, with a few set on fire.
