This month as part of Cities Gives Back, we recognize Avenues For Youth. Operating in the Twin Cities for 27 years and partners with 250 to 300 young people a year that are experiencing homelessness. Over 70% exit to stable housing and are on a path to achieving their life goals.
Every night in Minnesota over 6,000 young people will experience homelessness and there is only shelter for approximately 15% of those people. Avenues for Youth supports young families, LGBTQI+ and BIPOC youth ages 16 - 24 by providing safe and stable housing, healthy food, hygiene products, educational support, job coaching, and mental health care.
