Remembering Newtown & Sandy Hook

Remembering Newtown & Sandy Hook

Today is the 6th month anniversary of the horrific events that took place in Newtown, CT. Rather than a moment of silence or posting some rant about the cowardly moron that did the shooting......I thought it would be better to bring back an inspiring and uplifting story that came out of that tragedy. Afterall, this is the event that inspired "One Piece Of Good News". So watch, have a smile, perhaps a chuckle and remember those who senselessly lost life and the heroes that did everything they could to make the best of a terrible situation.

On January 9th and 14th, 2013, a group of students from Newtown, CT gathered to rehearse, perform, and record a new version of "Over The Rainbow," in dedication to the events at Sandy Hook. The hope of this video is to convey the beautiful, resilient spirit that members of this community demonstrated during those sessions. This is a testament to a community whose determined process of recovery, founded on goodwill, hope and love, can serve as an inspiration to us all. Please share this spirit.

The song is available on amazon and iTunes, where 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Newtown Youth Academy and the United Way of Western Connecticut.
