It's been over 4 years since Missy Higgins released her sophomore record 'On A Clear Night'. The silence between records will soon be broken with the upcoming release of 'The Ol' Razzle Dazzle' on June 1st. Missy took to her website to share why it has taken so long to release another record and what we'll find on 'Razzle Dazzle':
A lot has happened over the last few years, I actually thought I’d quit music for a while there, but of course my heart found that I couldn't beat without it. I eventually recorded this album in Nashville, Tennessee, with fellow Aussie Butterfly Boucher and Nashville producer/engineer Brad Jones and as you’ll no doubt hear, we had a lot of fun being creative in the studio.
In addition to posting about her time in the studio, Missy released the first of a multipart video series on the making of the record. Part 1 features the first single (due out on April 23rd) 'Unashamed Desire':
