Anyone who's tried to play guitar knows how hard it can be. But imagine having to play it with no arms.

George Dennehy is an 18-year-old Ashland, VA teen who was born with no arms. That didn't stop him from playing guitar, though, as the video shows him playing his guitar with his feet as he performs the Goo Goo Doll's hit song 'Iris' at the annual Ashland Strawberry Fair. Not only does Dennehy play the song flawlessly on guitar, he also sings it beautifully.



According to Gawker, Dennehy is one of four Tafi Yourtee Scholarship winners for 2012, an award which goes to Virginia high school students planning to major in the performing arts.

One YouTube user commented on the video, saying:

I have two arms, and I gave up playing the guitar because it was too hard, I feel kinda stupid after seeing this.


Dennehy also plays the cello, the piano, and the drums.

At a Reddit AMA, Dennehy said he hopes to:

...inspire people that they can do whatever they want when their mind is set to the task! All it takes is heart, soul, and passion to do what you want to do.
