Fan reactions to the Gap commercial have been mixed and range from supportive to downright vicious:
Completely HORRIBLE...I like these cat's but the sellout, Rick Rubin Avett's are getting God Awful...

This is upsetting. I thought you guys were better than this. Rick Rubin...and Gap are not what I thought this band would be about when I first discovered you a number of years ago.
Hats off to GAP for showing everyone real music.
The GAP ad campaign comes about a month ahead of the release of their new, Rick Rubin produced full length 'The Carpenter' due out on September 11th.
