The first ever ReelAbilities: Minneapolis-St. Paul Disabilities Film Festival will be showcasing award-winning films by and about people with disabilities on November 1-5, 2013 in four prestigious venues.
Joining us will be Dan Reed of Partnership resources who was instrumental in bringing the film festival to the Twin Cities. We are also joined by Steve Wampler of “Wamplers Ascent” a film featured in the ReelAbilities Film Festival. "Wampler's Ascent" documents how a man with cerebral palsy and the use of just one arm scaled El Capitan, the world's biggest rock face.
ReelAbilities is the largest festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different disabilities. Initiated in New York in 2007, the festival presents award-winning films by and about people with disabilities in multiple locations throughout each hosting city. Post-screening discussions and other engaging programs bring together the community to explore, discuss, embrace, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.
Scott Herold and Mark Schwandt of Rock the Cause bring you a “deep end of the weekend” dance celebration with fresh tracks from Lorde, Arcade Fire, Small Black, Miami Horror, On and On and more!
Rock the Cause is also hosting a fantastic Halloween Party 10.31.13 called “Music Television Graveyard” at the Crooked Pint 501 Washington Ave South in Minneapolis. Relive those monstrous moments of the music television generation with live tributes to MC Hammer, Bon Jovi, Bush, Madonna and more by Jonny James and the Hall of Fames 1985 Tribute, and the MTV’s! Pull out the parachute pants or the flannel all for a great cause!

A three-year collaboration consisting of members of The Honeydogs, Brother Ali, Chastity Brown, Heiruspecs, Dessa and the Minnesota Opera with arrangements from one of the talents behind the scores to Batman & The Sixth Sense.
We will debut new music from And The Professors “Our Postmortem”, and Adam offers his insights into why collaborations between artists are an essential part of building stronger communities.
