Jennifer Hudson joined the kids of Sandy Hook Elementary School to sing a moving rendition of "America the Beautiful". The kids shined, while JHud sang her guts out (and looked fab while doing it!).

Alicia Keys sang a very long, jazz-inspired version of our National Anthem. I thought it was unique and different. But, i can't say i loved it.

And, last, but definitely not least...Beyonce!
Well, you may not like the kind of music she does, but there was no denying that she is a born performer. She looked incredible, kept the energy sky-high, and even reunited with the other two women from Destiny's Child.

As for lip synching, i think she definitely went out of her way to show that she was singing live...at least for parts of it. That's my take, anyway. I think there were times when she was completely live, and other times where she sang to a track. I could be totally wrong, but either way, who cares! I thought she did a great job, and loved it!
