The LAPD is returning to normal operations after days of being on high alert due to the Christopher Dorner manhunt. Officials believe Dorner was killed yesterday in the Big Bear Lake area of California. A standoff with the accused cop killer ended when a cabin burned to the ground. LAPD Lieutenant Andy Neiman said police are not in a celebrating mood, and described the whole situation as a tragedy.
It's believed Dorner went on a rampage that left four people dead because he believed he'd been wrongfully terminated from the LAPD. Neiman said the investigation continues, and there's still a lot of work to do.
