Throwback Thursday is a chance to reflect on times that have past, share memories, and pop culture that did and that didn't last! We'd like you to do the same. Share some of what you remember about the "old days."
More Barette, Please.
I was 7 in this picture. I don't remember taking it. My sister and I were home schooled during this period in life. What i DO remember is my mom pulling all my hair to the side and securing it with a barrette. Every day. I guess i didn't mind, but i definitely remember it being my look.
Also, we'd take trips to the library, and while my mom would going through shelves and shelves of books, I’d be buried in records.
For whatever reason, Mr T's "Treat Her Right" was a big hit.
What were YOU listening to when you were 7?
Here I am in 1985. A brooding and fashionable 17 year old from the Northern suburbs. In this picture, I am sitting in the doorway of my friend's VW Microbus. This was the vehicle that transported my whole crew around during high school. It had no heater, so winter travel usually included blankets.
High school was crazy, amazing and, for me, EXACTLY like a John Hughes movie. Breakfast Club came out in 1985 and it seemed to me that it could have been filmed at my high school. I loved this movie. I could totally relate. Plus, I was totally crushed out on Ally Sheedy's weird loner character.
