UPDATE! Had a chance to chat with Alex Nordenson (on Twitter @AlexNord) about how this great idea all came together and what the mood in New York is like right now following unprecedented damage done by Hurricane Sandy.
This super cool idea allows you do help out in a simple, cheap ways AND gets the victims the things they need.....I think this is brilliant, so I had to share.
Some fine peeps named John Heggestuen, Alex Nordenson and Katherine Dolan are taking advantage of Amazon.com's "Wedding Registry". They aren't getting married. Cuz it's also illegal for 3 people to get married, or at least I would assume so. Rather they used the registry to create a shopping list for specific items needed at a local relief outpost. Didn't I say this was brilliant!? They update the reigstry as they get updates on what is needed most in affected areas. Again, BRILLIANT!
