Little did many know, it wasn't Black Friday at Mall Of America the day after, this most recent, Thanksgiving. It was Phillip Phillips Friday. I HATE Black Friday, everything that it involves and what it brings out of people, but this was the exception. I gotta tell ya, this 22 year old, American Idol winner is the real deal. I am more impressed everytime I encounter him or his music. I don't know that he'll ever blow up to the biggest thing on Planet Earth, but I see a very bright future for P-Squared as a real, true, self sustaining artist (which is better anyway, in my opinion). Think anyone was excited to see the Phillipsness?

He threw the mass of Phillip-ians, see what I did there?, a little curve ball when he dove into his smash, "Home". It may have been lost on many, but it wasn't lost on me and I immediately pulled out my iPhone to capture it. He started the "Home" song a LITTLE bit differently, but after 30 or so seconds of that, he went into the version everyone was there to see and sounded fantastic. He could've just done the entire song in that initial nasty thick bluesy sound.

I'm not sayin that someone, who shall remain nameless, needs to learn how to focus an iPhone, I'm just sayin that someone does. :)
