The Cold War Kids are one of my fave bands. LOVE them. Their music, lately, though has sort of become predictable. Similar formulas. Consisten themes and moods. Hahaha. Apparently they sensed I was thinking of that, cuz you know they consider my thoughts and concerns when recording a record (tongue is planted into cheek). Anyway, they must've sensed that because they just released a new single that I NEVER saw coming. The time off must have charged the band. The piano plucking is chaotic and the guitars swirling. The sound polished and refined. Yet still gruff enough that I know it's the Cold War Kids I've come to love. This single has made their forthcoming album, "Dear Miss Lonely Hearts out on April 2nd, one of my most anticipated albums of 2013. I simply can not wait to hear it.
