On the 50th Anniversary of JFK's Assassination I thought this to be fitting. I don't have a ton to add as I'm not even CLOSE to a JFK expert, but I found this to be quite interesting. Both the way radio did things back then and just for the historical value.
Remember the Southwest Airlines campaign? The whole "wanna get away" bit? Pretty sure this reporter would've rather been ANYWHERE else. Turns out Guiness was going to check it out for possibly entry. 12,000 plus blocks, gone, just like that.
I still have yet to see "Gravity", but I've been to IKEA.....so, in turn, have I been to space? Turns out they're not all that different.
See for yourself in this fantastic spoof trailer of "Alfonso Cuaron's IKEA".
And.....just in case you haven't seen "Gravity" or even the trailer......here ya go.....
You might not know this new song from Colbie Caillat is actually her. The vocals are definitely her, but other than that.....it doesn't sound much like the Colbie you've come to know and love. Other than, I can't put my finger on it, but it just "feels" like Colbie.
It also feels a lot like One Republic, like they could've recorded this song. There's good reason for that. Ryan Tedder wrote the song with Colbie and he also produced it. So, yeah, it definitely has a 1Rep sound, no doubt.
Regardless of all that. It's a great song, check it out......
I know this has been shared, but I just watched it and it gave me chills from head to toe. I can NOT believe Christina kept her vocals in check the way she did. Not sure I've ever seen that kind of restraint from her before.
And Chad Vaccarino's vocal.....it's so desperate. I read the PERFECT description in Billboard, it said; his "ethereal voice that sounds like it might snap in half at any moment." I copied and pasted that cuz I'm not sure I coud've said it better myself.
This performance is just brilliant and beautiful. Check it out.....
Our household hasn't been watching The Voice this year, but sounds like we're missing out. Might have to jump in before it's done. LOTS of talent, including Seth Green? (See :29 seconds in to video).
All that said, I still would've rather heard The Mowgli's themselves perform this super chipper Cali vibe for the audience of NBC, but at least they're getting some exposure!
The TV in the big fancy Cities97 studio is NEVER on whatever channel Ellen is on, but yesterday it was left there......I'm glad it was, though, cuz this made me chuckle......
This dude is either drunk or the worst scooter driver in the history of history.
Come on.....everyone deserves a 4th.....orrrrr 5th chance, right?
Some of these are indeed creepy, but most are more silly and made me chuckle. A few are just plain dumb.....like the "overcompensating" part....hahaha....I've done that, we all have and now I just feel dumb.
Anyway, good for a chuckle.....
I didn't know what to expect from this......"your life in jellybeans".....what the heck does that mean, but I was curious enough to click. I found it insightful, eye opening, interesting, cute, silly, fun and sad.
I think what we take from this is.....make sure life fulfills you. You only have so many jellybeans. Make'em count. That and, I couldn't help but think....I really hope those are Jelly Belly, otherwise what really are we doing here?
