Tristan Prettyman performs in the First Avenue mainroom tomorrow night. This event will also be the celebration of the first anniversary of the Oake & Keri Morning Show on Cities97! We can hardly believe it has already been a year already! It has me feeling nostalgic...

The first time I ever saw Tristan Prettyman perform live was on a very hot Thursday afternoon during the summer of 2005. It was a live on-site Studio C performance during a live Oake On The Water broadcast from Lord Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka. I remember her being very relaxed and very friendly. In fact, after she played and signed autographs, I spotted her jamming with a young fan of hers in the parking lot! Enjoy!

Todays SOTD is inspired by a listener email I got last week. Jim from W. St. Paul wrote the following:

"I've been a fan of yours for several years and love your work.  I need a recommendation from you.  My wife and I are expecting our second child any day now and I need a good song to sing to him/her.  With my three-year-old son, I still sing "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon, so you get an idea of the sentiment I am looking for.  Thanks for your consideration."

Jim, this song more than any other defines my attitude about parenting and the incredible gift that my daughter has been to my life. It is whimsical and hopeful and wonderful. I hope you like it.
