Bok Choy Salad
SUBMITTED BY: Elle-Tee
1 bunch/head of bok choy, chopped
5 green onions, chopped
2 packages of chicken flavored ramen noodles
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup butter
Put into a large bowl
From 2 packages of chicken flavored ramen noodles, remove and reserve the flavor packets. Take the crunchy noodles from the two packages, and along with 1/4 cup sesame seeds, 1/4 cup slivered almonds and 1/2 cup butter - melt and brown those four ingredients together in a pan over medium heat. Let cool, and then add and mix into greens.
1 flavor packet
1 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
Pour into salad dressing shaker and mix. I usually double this portion, I like the dressing.
There is also a quicky salad recipe where you chop the bok choy, brown some almonds with butter and let them cool. Mix them into the greens. Thinly slice some pears lengthwise and lay them on the salad in bowls, and sprinkle with gorgonzola. Then pour some creamy vidalia onion dressing over the salad.
