I got chance to see some great live music last week and this week I'll be posting videos from those sets.  Today's band is releasing their new album "Some Nights" today.

Their show on Friday, April 13th was moved to from The Varsity to the new venue in town, The Brick.

I posted a video by Ed Sheeran a few days ago, but since we've started playing his song "The A Team" I thought I should probably post the official video for that song.  He's an artist who's taken the UK by storm, to the point where you can even buy one of his trade mark "paw print" hoodies.  I love hoodies.  I also love an artist who can write a pretty song about a not so pretty subject.  That's the A Team.  Watch for a cameo by Ed (in his own video) buying magazines from the sidewalk "angel".

He'll be opening for Snow Patrol in April and we'll give you a chance to see him live in Studio C. I can't wait.

Normally I really can't stand concert footage because of lousy lighting and shaky cam, but this video is an exception.  Mostly because it's an amazing rendition of Sara Bareilles' song "Gravity" which is one of my all time favorite songs.  Kelly Clarkson is easily one of the biggest talents to come out of the American Idol phenomenon, and I would love to have her actually record this song at some point.

With the leadup to the Super Bowl and the power of 30 Rock, I expected this to be all over the place last week, but it seemed to have slipped through the cracks and I'm going to make sure it doesn't get missed...

That kind of success can buy a lot of legos.
